Have you already tried to restart your city?
From urban megatrends to engine technology: we explain how mobility is changing our lives – and what a happy ending to this story might look like.
From A to B. This is the simplest and most exciting story in the world. Because we change on a journey. Because we don’t always get out where we want to go. Because that’s a good thing.
Land, water, air
In 2050, more than 70 percent of people worldwide will live in cities, which already account for 70 percent ofCO2 emissions today. By 2050,CO2 emissions in the global North must have fallen to zero. How can this be achieved? How do we get from A to B?
Nansen & Piccard has been working at the interface of new mobility and urbanity for more than ten years – with research institutions and public authorities, with corporations and influential start-ups. On water, on land and perhaps soon in the air too.
Megatrends and technical details
Communication about mobility needs both: scientific depth and narrative breadth. Research and feature articles. R&D and discourse.
Our editorial team has the technological know-how to explain the advantages of a synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets and the sociological and economic expertise to categorize the megatrends that are driving this development.
Saving the city saves the world
Volkswagen AG’s MOIA ridesharing project aims to launch autonomous shuttle buses in Hamburg in 2026 and thus reduce the number of cars. We helped to develop the brand story and build the social community.
And now?
There is an incredible amount to do between now and 2050. At Nansen & Piccard, we want to accelerate the development towards a new mobility, establish productive links and provide information on the basis of which people can make good decisions – both personally and politically.
