We’ve been supporting Bayern Munich’s club magazine 51 since 2017 – from its relaunch, concept and visual language to reports from around the world.

Let’s go, Reds!

In 2018, we relaunched the Bayern Munich magazine with a new concept, layout, visual language and editorial formats. The result was 51, a soccer magazine for the best club in the world. For Munich residents and born-and-bred Bayern fans like us, it was a dream project.
Since then, we’ve been supporting the magazine’s editorial team in its monthly production by developing topics, using our international network of correspondents for reports on Bayern fans in Mongolia or Australia and constantly finding innovative infographic ways to tell soccer stories in a new way.
After all, there’s hardly any other topic that lends itself so well to writing about great emotions, culture, change and life itself.
And we never run out of ideas – even after more than 80 issues. And as Sepp Herberger, the legendary German manager, might have said: “After the magazine is before the magazine.”

Every day’s a good day to write stories

Over the years, we’ve produced numerous other media products about and with Bayern Munich, including the chronicle of the club’s 120th anniversary published by Werkstatt Verlag and a graphic novel about the 1964-65 promotion season featuring a very young Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller.
Legends that live forever.
