Brandhorst Museum

Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Kerstin Brätsch. Brandhorst Museum has one of Germany’s most impressive collections of art from the 1950s onwards. We regularly advise the museum team on how best to narrate their exhibitions.

Talking about art

Our collaboration with Brandhorst Museum began in 2019 – the year of the museum’s tenth anniversary. Together with the Brandhorst team, we revised the communication strategy and accompanied the relaunch of the website. We also developed a compact museum magazine with four issues to accompany the major anniversary exhibition. The cahiers presented central works and thematic focuses and helped people understand the curatorial decisions.

We continue to work closely with the curatorial team and the communications department. In regular workshops we develop strategies on how new exhibitions – such as Party of Life or Five Friends – can be told in a clear and accessible way that is appropriate for any target group. The key question always remains the same: How can art be communicated in such a way that it becomes accessible without losing any of its complexity?
