Democracy needs real encounters. For the Generation Germany Festival of Democracy we produced pro & con clips on controversial topics to get young people talking.
Long live confrontation!
Democracy thrives on exchange – and on people listening to each other, even if they disagree. For the Generation Germany Festival of Democracy organised by Children for a Better World, we developed animated films and info clips that summarised polarising topics in pro & con arguments. The subsequent discussions were often heated, but always fair.
The videos by art director Kristian Kutschera formed the basis for discussions at the three-day event, which was also attended by several leaders of the parties in Germany’s Bundestag. This format showed how digital content can facilitate real encounters.
